Загалом, у природі егоїзм — цілком нормальне явище. Я довго спостерігав за різними тваринами в природному середовищі і дійшов простого висновку: егоїзм у природі — це насамперед спосіб виживання. Тварина захищає свою територію, їжу, потомство, своє місце у зграї. У цьому немає моралі чи аморалі є інстинкт, який дозволяє вижити.

Але якщо подивитися на сучасне людське суспільство, картина стає набагато цікавішою. Тому що в людини егоїзм здатний вийти далеко за межі природного інстинкту самозбереження та перетворитися на соціальну модель поведінки. І особливо помітно це там, де саме соціальне середовище знаходиться на низькому рівні розвитку.

Political Convenience Over Security: Why the Luhansk Official's Case Signals a Breakdown in Media Solidarity

The baseline principle of the journalistic community regarding public corruption must remain unequivocal: society holds an inalienable right to receive verified and objective reporting on government conduct, and no regional military administration possesses the authority to grant or deny media access based on an editor's editorial compliance.

National security and the political convenience of state officials are fundamentally distinct concepts; in practice, they are entirely incompatible.

The criminal proceedings initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) concerning Albina Kusheleva, Director of the Mass Communications Department of the Luhansk Regional State Administration (OVA), along with the documented postal transfer of 192,000 UAH in physical cash, extend far beyond individual defendants or their intermediaries. This case serves as a critical indictment of professional solidarity within the wartime press corps.

Investigations

While political circles and social media debate the resignation of Oleksiy Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (OVA), and scrutinize potential successors, an interconnected financial and criminal crisis has unfolded in Dnipro — the de facto operating hub of the displaced regional government. On September 5, a court remanded Albina Kusheleva, Director of the OVA’s Mass Communications Department, into custody over the embezzlement of 5 million UAH through PR procurement tenders. Just one business day later, a displaced municipal utility enterprise from occupied Sievierodonetsk — possessing neither managed assets nor ongoing litigation — bypassed public bidding to award a 160,000 UAH contract to a Kharkiv-based law firm co-founded by a former local prosecutor.
